Customers Review:

This book is a fabulous way to educate children on bees and help them recognize how they are being affected in our populated environment. The book also teaches how we can help bees and provides educational pictures. There is also a craft at the end of the book. Highly recommend. ♡♡♡♡
I loved this book! 🙂 It has awesome illustrations, and I really like that the multi-ethnic characters. I also learned some new things about bees! What an important message about the value of bees, and ways that people can save them. The story showed that even though these kids live in an apartment building, they still were able to help the bees, by creating small gardens. They also made “bee hotels,” and the directions to the craft, are included in the book. Stories like this one, about saving animals, and helping the environment, are so important!
What a great book! It uses simple language that children can understand, compelling images that are just darling, and inclusive with its diverse children who are speaking. I just loved it! We really do need to save the bees!
Beautifully illustrated, the story is about the importance of bees to our environment. It tells us how they live and supply us with honey and that their search for nectar and pollen sometimes takes them far from their hives. The story is educational and fun to read. At the end of the book is instructions on how to make a mini bee friendly garden. Highly recommended!
I loved both the story and illustrations! Children will learn all about bees and their place in the world. And it’s written in such an easy to read, fun way. A must have for your child’s library.
great pics and tells a great story on bees
Although I do not doubt the author had the best of intentions, I found this book to be extremely boring. It is just a conversation between a bee and some kids. And a very long boring conversation. That’s it. Sorry but, I could not read this book to any of the children I teach. The target age was not considered throughly.
I purchased this book for my mother who is a pre-school and has been for the past 45 years. She LOVED the book. As a teacher, she enjoyed the book. It is simple and easy to read. The elementary school she teaches at has the Bee as their mascot. She LOVED the book on many different levels. She liked the ethnic cultural diversity in the book. She liked having the children from different names and cultures. She is able to talk to her children about many different topics. After you go thru the book, there are engaging search and find questions at the end that help to get you go back thru the book. it helps with developing good comprehension skills. It tells you how to make a bee habitat.Bethany Stahl has written a number of books that all have good messages. I encourage you to take a look at the other books she has written. Happy reading.
