The overall message of this book is fantastic.There are some areas that I believe could be improved upon:1. There are many, many grammatical errors (Kindle version). It is so severe in some sentences that the meaning is hard to decipher.2. This book is very clearly geared towards men, which is great if that’s what the goal is. The title did not imply that it would be predominantly directed at male readers.3. There is a lengthy section about choosing a martial arts style which I found to be inconsistent with the theme of the book.Again, I think the ideas presented in this book were fabulous. It gives you a good “kick in the ass” approach to developing habits that will lead to success.
Gets a 5 star review from me for both the subject matter and the scope. I’m not new to self discipline and neither am I easy to impress but overall I thought the author did a thorough job of discussing the various aspects of the topic. My favorite part is the mention of taking control of your own reality. Deciding for something and disregarding anything to the contrary. A matter of will. Sometimes we forget that this thing is as simple as deciding for something and doing it. No alternatives. Nice read and a good blog to catch on occasion. I’d enjoy having a conversation with you as we seem to be fairly like minded.
What happens when you have an eye opening experience that makes you self analyze where you realize you lack discipline in your life? You begin to seek self improve. I just finished listening to this book and I plan to listen to it a few more times, I play it while at work, I play it while working out. One of the best investments I have done and with this new found knowledge I plan on losing weight and being overall self discipline.
Sticks to the topic, and builds on its principles step by step for an engaging read!
There is some really good information in this book that I have been chewing on since I finished reading it. So much so that I have actually started to make some positive changes in my life. This despite all of the typos/spelling, syntax errors which normally would have me turned off of a book so as not to take it seriously.
