I enjoyed the message found within the pages. We all come from different backgrounds and stories, accept yourself for who you are and maybe help someone along the way. My two year old has requested “Little Leo” for one of his bedtime books every night since the book arrived in our house. He loves it! It is a delightful book with beautiful illustrations and a lovely story about enjoying adventures while finding comfort in home. Can’t wait for the authors next book! This book is fantastic! My 2 and a half year old loved the pictures. Great vocabulary and story line, it was great to hear my son repeat them after me. The illustrations really draw the child in. Colors are great. There are life lessons galore in this story of Leo’s adventure. I read it to my little grand daughter and she loved it! The story is engaging and thoughtful. The artwork is beautiful. The book is out of stock right now but I can’t wait till Amazon restocks so I can order a copy for my grandson to have at his own house!UPDATE: I got my book! It arrived while I was taking care of my grandson and we opened it and read it immediately. His response when we were done and I asked him what he thought: “It was so so so good!!!!” Review straight from the mouth of a five-year old! A beautifully illustrated and cleverly written book for kids of all ages. My 5 and 2yr old are already requesting we read it again. The messages inside the pages are thoughtfully written and they wanted to keep turning the pages to find out what he would see next. Great book for the collection! The book is full of beautiful colors and images that my 3 year old enjoyed as he named the various friends Leo met. While a bit lengthy for his age, he remained engaged throughout due to the beauty of the sea creatures on the page. My five year old loved the story and remained engaged with it the whole way through enjoying the storyline, adventures, and whimsy of Leo! As an educator and mom I recommend this book for reading with all little ones, it easily lends itself to prompting and questioning to expand young readers engagement with text! Well done Heather! This book is such a delight! It is filled with beautiful, vibrant, colorful illustrations that will be enjoyed by children (and adults) of all ages. The descriptions are detailed and whimsical. I love this book and its message of the value of home as well as friendships. It is a sweet book for younger and older children. |
