Customers Review:

I thought that I was purchasing a new book, but to my surprise it was used and beat up. Ordinarily it wouldn’t be a big deal except it was a gift and a expensive book.
I am using this book for an undergraduate neuroscience senior seminar class. Coolidge deftly explains complex and thought provoking ideas with dynamic, accessible, and finely crafted writing. This book is a fascinating explanation of cognitive evolutionary development of the brain and cognition through an exploration of brain function and dysfunction. Coolidge weaves interesting case histories and historical tidbits into the fabric of modern neuroscience, neuropsychology, and cognitive archeology enhancing interest and understanding of the human mind and its origins.
Insightful and engaging— this is my favorite from Dr. Coolidge to date.
