The book shows how Little Critter and his sister try to take care of their mom when she is sick and how their love for her help her get better, but not without a price! The house becomes a terrible mess in the process, which we found very hilarious and rather accurate. We ultimately got the book hoping it would teach our son to care for others. This Little Critters book is one any child can relate to. Children always empathize when their mom is sick. In this book, the entire Critter household wants to help out mom, who is sick in bed. My daughter asked us to read this book to her at least fifteen times in the first three days after I brought the book home. This is one of the best books in the series! Also, I like the Little Golden Books hardcover binding. I love this book and so do my children. Thanks This one is cute in the way it shows how the little critters try and help their poor mother, but really make more of a mess. Which any mom knows is exactley what happens when you really get sick. I love stories like this. they keep my grandson laughing and learning.The illustrations help keep attention too. Thumb Up!
