Customers Review:

It’s really hard to believe this is the same guy who wrote all those good Alex Cross, and nursery rhythms murders. It’s almost laughable. Mitchum didn’t “wash out” of the Navy Seals just ” because he couldn’t swim well”. He also lacked intelligence, and common sense. As for an ” investigator “, the same applies. The solutions fell right in front of him. “Investigating” meant beating the crap out of everyone he came across. A total waste of money. When will I ever learn? !
This is a collection of three unrelated short stories that reads like a freshman creative writing class. The lead protagonist washed out of Navy SEAL training and makes a living delivering newspapers in a small town. His equally unbelievable brother is a major drug dealer in the same town who decides he wants to become an EMT.Weak plots, poor dialogue, and no character development. When Patterson stated selling his name to other authors the resulting books are all over the map in terms of quality. His “co-author” on this one is one of the weakest.
I have a complete collection of books either authored by or published under James Patterson. Love his writing style and he seems able to ensure that authors publishing under his name maintain his expected quality.
Still reading but so far the “hero” is just a jerk. Supposedly good guys who break all the rules are worse than actual crooks. Don’t think I will buy anymore books with Born as co-author.
loved this book… loved the new character, Bobby Mitchum and can’t wait for more…
This was a stupid book. I did not like it at all and am disappointed he would write it. It was like a child was writing.
I am very disappointed with this book. I tried reading the first story and it was super boring. The third one seems ok but not at all what I expected from this author. One thing I REALLY disliked was the fee I HAD TO PAY TO RETURN THIS BOOK. NOT EXPECTED!
Loved this book of three exciting short stories. Mitchum is a hero character who helps everyone and seems to get in trouble doing so. I hope he comes back with more adventures.
