As a physician, I found this book to be backed by great research and it was an interesting read. I think it has the potential to really help people. The diet itself is more of a lifestyle and seems more sustainable than many other diets. Well written and an easy read. I highly recommend it!
I haven’t been able to put the book down! Dr. Mike has done an amazing job of sharing facts and describing how I can implement real lifestyle modification to improve my mental and physical well-being! So grateful for this purchase!
When I ordered this book I was excited to read it. But, I have to say I was disappointed. When I listened on Good Morning America it said it was a ketoterannean book. There is nothing Keto in it. The food that is allowed on this diet is food that probably 75 % of people dont eat. And it’s not appetizing food. Just my opinion. But I was expecting a book to help me cut the sugar but also do it in an allowable way that your average person could do.
I think this book is well written, informative, easy to read, and the eating plan is easy to implement.I do have a couple questions though and not really sure where to go to have them answered. For instance, it mentions a free link at the end of the book for hypnosis. I can’t find the link. Maybe I’m just overlooking it but I don’t see it. And, 7 servings of fruit & vegetables a day. Is that 7 servings of fruit & 7 servings of vegetables or a combination of both equaling 7 servings? I think it’s the latter but not entirely sure.
I love reading Sugar Brain Fix by Dr Mike Dow.Sugar has been a weakness for me all my life and his description of how and why is an answer to my prayers! I’ve tried so many times to just go cold turkey with sugar only to be defeated and return to it. I love the approach of adding the greens to my diet instead of restricting the sugar to change my way of eating. The change is truly emotional and physical. I am making the changes one step at a time and I can feel the difference. I feel like Dr Mike Dow is speaking to me as I’m reading and I highly recommend that you read this book. It’s the answer for me and I hope for you as well.
I just got Dr. Mike Dow’s new book and I can’t put it down. It’s such a simple change and a drastic difference. A very well-thought out and easy to understand guide to changing my diet and cutting out sugar. I can’t wait to implement this into my daily routine!
This plan is extremely easy to implement! Dr. Dow has simplified adding great foods before you slowly take away sugary unhealthy foods. Even though I am not looking to lose weight I can see where the plan will benefit me in many other ways. I have learned so much!
