Customers Review:

This is an incredibly well thought out journey through the life of the most charismatic, believable and amazing actor in the business today. You only have to see Irrfan on film for a split second to know he is something very special and to become a life long fan. This book treats him that way — with all of the respect and dignity he deserves. Aseem Chhabra put in exceptional effort on this book and there is quality on every page. There is no fluff or fillers here. This is without a doubt one of the finest biographies I have ever read.I am not one to read biographies of movie stars, as I prefer the biographies I read to be of historical characters instead. I don’t follow the lives of celebrities at all such as on Twitter or Facebook. Irrfan is that rare exception for me and the only one I do follow. Because of my admiration of his work and my respect for him as a man and actor, this was one biography I could not pass by. It is a page turner and a book you will not want to put down. This book follows his life and career as you would expect, and also gives insight to the man behind the scenes. It is a personal story without being intrusive and makes you want to go back and see every film of Irrfan’s that you have missed. As for me, that isn’t too many given the benefits of movie streaming these days through a variety of service providers, yet there are several films I now want to go back and see from his earlier works before 2005.If you haven’t checked out Irrfan’s films, you should. If you haven’t yet ordered this book, do it now. You will not be disappointed. And a little side note: This book is also beautifully printed. The first page of every chapter is in contrast and really sets a beautiful stage for the story within. This is one of the most lovely volumes I have in print. It is one you will want to display, not put aside on a shelf.Aseem Chhabra deserves ten stars for this, not merely five.
