LOL If this was satire it might be humorous at best but the author truly believes his conspiracy theories that are wrapped up inside of another conspiracy! Bottom line folks- $20.00 for 128 pages of complete nonsense, I would suggest saving your money for something more meaningful and worthwhile. That’s 45 minutes of my time I’ll never get back. The author presents some of the leading conspiracy theories, examines the origins and sifts the facts from the fiction.Interesting read and highly relevant in today’s world of misinformation. The author does an excellent job of deciphering conspiracy theories, even complicated creation stories, he makes the reader understand in a straight forward manner.Cults, and conspiracy theories, have always fascinated me, I hope some of these current followers can be deprogrammed. Pretty fun primer on different flavors of crazy you may not have heard of or understood before. I bought this (through a cheaper distributor) for my teen nephew who is into conspiracy theories. He and his friends love the book as a resource, but not as the author intended — they’re debunking each defense the author gives. They’re especially concerned about “chem trails” and “HAARP” whatever that means… Good illustrations, good overview of recent conspiracy theories. Great resource for teens who are interested in politics and shadow government, defunct CIA programs, arguing for and against a “Clinton body count.” Reminds me of the interplay on X-Files between Scully and Mulder. Mulder is my teen nephew, Scully is this author. But he’s not as pretty. I found this book interesting and enjoyable to read. I learned about things I never heard of before and how most of these theories total bunk. It opened my eye! Mike’s writing is compelling and well researched. Truly academic. Thanks for the insight. Too many people can’t distinguish between reality and conspiracies. |
