Customers Review:

Jacqueline does a great job giving the ins and outs of the divorce process throughout this book, all while keeping you entertained. It is witty and fun to read, but also provides excellent advice for anyone contemplating divorce, or even anyone with a general interest in the process. You will put down the book knowing what to expect if you do decide to divorce, and ready to approach it with a strategy and a lot less anxiety. Whether you are happily married, unhappily married, or already divorced, this read will keep you engaged and provide invaluable advice.
I’m going through a divorce right now and it’s extremely painful. I’ve been reaching as much as I can about divorce and I bought this book after hearing Jacqueline (the author) talk about it on a radio show. This is a great book. Jacqueline has a warm way of delivering tough news but, she also offers a lot of things that people can do to help themselves. I feel that I know more about divorce in reading this book than other book or article I’ve read before. Highy recccomend this book.
Jacqueline was a guest on my Conscious Millionaire Show. As an attorney myself, I knew how important it was to provide accurate information on divorce to my 12 million entrepreneurial listeners. I choose Jacqueline because of her unique skill set as a divorce attorney for high net-worth clients with complex assets and situations.I recommend her book to any person, whether you are high net-worth or just want to protect yourself and assets before you marry with the right pre-nuptial agreement or during and after a divorce proceeding.Take your advice from one of New York’s top divorce attorneys and get your hands on this book now.
The New Rules of Divorce is what you need if you want to be fully prepared for the future. Divorce is certainly something we don’t expect, but you can at least get through it while keeping your sanity. This book breaks down step by step how to get through the divorce process. One of the most important sections is if you actually need a divorce. All too often issues come down to communication. Men and women are from the same planet, but we are constantly barraged with societal norms that almost want strife in a relationship. There’s no reason two people living in the same home shouldn’t know the other person, but as time goes on, and people change, it’s almost like your partner is speaking another language. Sometimes something as simple as putting your ego aside and going to therapy can create the spark you were missing. Or at the least confirm you are done with the relationship, and you are less clouded by emotion. This book has 12 secrets, and they are incredibly insightful. A lot of fear comes from the unknown. Whether you’re married, or plan to be, I highly recommend this book. There’s no reason to feel alone or not understood.Divorce can be messy, expensive, and so scary! This book is like a roadmap for everything you could possibly deal with, along with support. Jacqueline Newman is a successful New York lawyer, and while there are a few things that vary by state, the advice here knows no bounds. The tone is no-nonsense, but extremely helpful. Want a lawyer like her? She gives you advice on how to find one as well.
In Jacqueline Newman’s book, The Rules of Divorce is without a doubt exactly what she says it is “Think of this book as the What to Expect When You’re Expecting – or not expecting -for divorce. I am currently am in my second marriage but this book would have helped me through my first divorce so that I had a better understanding of what I had to face between visitation support conferences and how the judge sees the separation of assets. I was blessed to have a good lawyer which was hugely beneficial. She even points out that this book does not mean you do not need a good lawyer but helps you decide which lawyer is for you and how to go forward knowing what questions will be asked and how to best go forward or even if it is for you. I like how throughout that divorce may not be the answer for you and not to rush into the decision, however, if it is for you then this is how you go forward and what steps to take. I found it insightful and directly written and I found myself laughing and crying in passages and had more than a few Aha moments. I think this book should be the first book you pick up if you are even concentrating on the idea of a divorce and how to go forward is that is what you need to do. I like that there is no judgment and this book is written for men and women. Yes, there are off-colored jokes that could upset some but they were written in a way that I think even men would laugh about because they know men and women similar to the examples in the book.
