Book Description

From the Inside Flap For 25-plus years I’ve had a Post-it note on my bathroom mirror where I shave that simply states, “You haven’t hit your peak yet!” I’ve looked at that message every day. So when I was wracking my brain trying to think of a title for this new book, it hit me. . . or should I say, it was staring me in the face. I saw the note and said, “That’s my title.” Few people are as eminently qualified to give advice as Harvey Mackay. From humble beginnings, Harvey has become a top inspirational speaker, nationally syndicated columnist, and seven-time New York Times bestselling author. The son of an Associated Press bureau chief and a dedicated teacher, he developed a knack for storytelling and a thirst for wisdom that led him to where he is today. Now, he returns with You Haven’t Hit Your Peak Yet!—a veritable encyclopedia of insight for business and life. Customers Review:

Harvey Mackay’s latest book – You Haven’t Hit Your Peak Yet – came out on Wednesday, and I’m less than halfway through it. Here’s a pic of my copy with the bookmarks I’ve made so far.The content is on-point. There are no extra words. It covers a crap-ton of subjects, and each sub-chapter is a setup punch that still lands a blow.If you think, “I’m not in business, I’m a teacher/artist/author/janitor/etc.” grab a copy anyway. Harvey not only uncovers what you should be doing, but how folks outside your profession can and will interact with you. You – yes, YOU – should do yourself and the folks around you a favor and read this book.Marketing, leadership, integrity, customer service, success – whatever your interest, Mackay’s book applies.
I have been a longtime reader/fan of Harvey since his first book in 1988, and I was looking forward to this one. Each section can stand on its own, so you can look at the table of contents and decide what’s important to you and your business. The chapters are pithy and to-the-point, which makes for easy reading and comprehension. In the current business environment that seems chaotic, unpredictable, and impersonal, this book is a steady ship in the storm – with reliable, sage advice that is still applicable today, if not more so.
Over the course of my 25 years in business, I have read countless business books and EVERY book Harvey has written! My graduate degrees are fantastic and certainly have opened a lot of doors for me, however I attribute much of my success to studying and embodying the Mackay Morals, personally and professionally, every day of my life!Regardless of the stage of your career, you will benefit greatly from readying, studying and living by Harvey’s timeless principles included in You Haven’t Hit Your Peak Yet! I purchased copies for all of my colleagues, mentors, mentees and friends because there is something here for EVERYONE! The knowledge and confidence they will gain will be the gift that keeps on giving! Don’t miss it!
This is a great read! Love all the insights! Really makes you think and better yet, dream bigger!
This book is designed to change the way you work, think, live! Harvey brings his trademark honesty, wisdom and wit in easy to read chapters. Setting goals, holding yourself accountable, discipline and trust are just a few examples that fill the pages with his first hand accounts. Whether you’re in sales, business, customer service or just want to improve your personal self – You’ll LOVE the stories and that mountain won’t seem so steep to climb!
Love this book. Whip it open to any chapter and discover a provocative idea, an authentic life lesson, a kick in the pants. I’m only half way through and already ordered a copy for my grandson heading off to college. It will be fun comparing notes–I have over 50 years on him but we’re both out there reaching for the next peak.
Harvey Mackay is brilliant! He wraps up a lifetime of lessons in one exceptional book. His advice is practical and he is one of the smartest men I know. I confidently recommend this book to everyone!
Good common sense advice. I haven’t finished reading it all yet, but I am really enjoying it so far. Great read for anyone looking to improve themselves and help others.
