While reading you are immediately in that moment he is describing. As a breast cancer survivor, his piece titled “She Planted Her Flag” gave me such comfort and peace that he understood what a breast cancer patient faces. We get a glimpse into his mission trips. We are reminded of God’s grace and love throughout. All of his annointed pieces came from our Lord directly to Dr. Dang’s heart written with such gentle compassion. Dr. Dang was my Oncologist. He is a great, Christian man. I recommend this book!
Dr. Dang is so real about his faith, his life experiences, and how those experiences brought him to his faith. I wish he had written about how, or even if, he discusses his Christian faith and his close personal relationship with Jesus Christ with his atheist terminal patients. If a terminal patient is atheist and Dr. Dang knows this fact, does he believe that this patient made a decision not to believe and there is nothing he can do change his belief? I wanted my atheist friend to believe at the end of his life. I pray he did accept Jesus Christ as his savior.Dr. Dang, I loved your book.
What a beautiful and well written book! I started it the day I got it and finished it the next day. It encouraged me to look at every day life as a God intended it to be! I want to get this for my friends and my family in hopes that they will look for the positive in their lives!!! Thank you Mahn Dang for sharing your experiences and love for God you are an inspiration to all!!!!
Dr. Dang encourages us to give thanks to God at all times regardless of the situation we are facing either good or stressful. “Give thanks to God also for those who trouble or even torment us, for they may also be a part of God’s desire for our journeys. We might be the “flowers” that they need to see. If not, they might be the “fertilizer” for our own growth. Isaiah 40:8, NIV “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of God endures forever.” AMEN!
Exceptional book. Well written and thought provoking. Dr. Dang has a unique talent for getting to the point of any subject. His life of service to his community and those in impoverished countries has encouraged me to be a better person. Thank you, Dr. Dang.
I’m honored to know Dr Dang as my oncologist and friend. He has pulled the best of his essays to this book and I loved it so much I bought a second copy. It is a blessing to read and to gift!
Dr. Dang’s insights into what this life is all about reminds us all of the importance of living and loving well all those we see who are in need of a helping hand, a word of encouragement, someone to walk with them through the hard places of life. He gives us deep insight into our responsibility of sharing God’s love to others as we have so richly received it. You can’t stay the same after reading this book! |
