Customers Review:

My six year old was so excited about this book that he started reading it to himself as soon as we opened the package and didn’t stop until he got to the end. Usually we read these together, but I had to wait my turn – and I did have to take a turn, because he wants to discuss the plot with me. I felt that the subject matter of this volume was a little more intense than previous entries. In each of the first few books there’s a distinct real-world plot and in-game plot that are related to each other but clearly separate. This time the line is less distinct, making it feel more like the characters could be in actual danger, and the book ends with an unsettling encounter with the Evoker King. It makes for an exciting story, but readers who are a little more sensitive to scariness might want to wait on this one.I continue to be very happy with the quality of these books. The illustrations are great, the actual physical book is sturdy and appealing, and the writing is smooth and evocative and just complex enough for an early chapter book reader. I love the characters, and discussing these books with my son is a genuine pleasure. I’m a big reader, and a writer myself, and it’s been really great to find stories that are relevant to my son’s interest in Minecraft that are also GOOD.
It’s a pleasure to be one of the first to read this book.I really recommend it and also the other books from the series. These books show how you should stretch your creativity and also show how good minecraft really is! Finally 7 to 10 years old who love minecraft will enjoy them. I hope you love this book. This is all my info. (I am 9 and going to be 10.)
From nine year old: “I think it’s a great book. I liked that it had mystery and that it had an adventure. The coolest part was how they linked Nether portals throughout the world.”From me (parent): I have no idea what that means, but I think he loved it. We pre-ordered this one because he enjoyed the others so much. Definitely recommend for reluctant readers.
