Customers Review:

This is a wonderful interpretation of an old tale, illustrated with meticulous detail and care, told with a wonderful wink to the current times, it is a cherished addition to my collection of illustrated children’s tales.
I had the pleasure to see author Derek Hughes read/perform this strange and beautiful twist on the classic Humpty Dumpty story in a live setting, and absolutely loved it. I tracked it down and was dazzled by the gorgeous illustrations. I got a few copies to give to other and spread the wonder. A lovely gift for anyone of any age!
Very clever and creative re-telling of Humpty Dumpty in it’s own nursery rhyme style accompanied by beautiful illustrations that, alone will keep a child’s imagination well fed. See what Mother Goose character’s you can find in the illustrations!
My son really liked this book and its message. I think the illustrations are gorgeous!
I thought that this book was clever, relevant and beautifully illustrated. It takes an age old Children’s tale and stands it on its head. What an absolute delight!
A glorious little riff on Humpty Dumpty. So glad to know more about this mysterious character!
Loved the book! The art is super amazing! Glad I got the book!
First, the illustrations are incredible. For whatever Nathan Christopher is, he isn’t a boring drawer.Second, the story held me. Though hope and fighting through shells is not a new idea as a whole, I always wanted to know what happened after each page.I’d say it’s good for middle school or above for the story. Illustrations are super intricate and worth many looks.
