Read more Customers Review: This is a great Children’s Bible/Children’s Devotional! I bought this for my kids (who are 3 and 6 years old) and we love it! The Bible stories are written in an engaging way. The artwork is beautiful. And I love the devotional and prayer at the end of each story! The devotionals help your child to break down what we learn (specifically about the power and importance of prayer) from each story, while being short and simple enough for a child understand. There is also a short prayer at the end of each devotional that you can pray together with your kids, followed by a scripture verse that is relevant to the lesson that we learn from each story. Highly recommend! 🙂

I love that authors take a few excerpts from the Bible and put together a collection of Bible stories for children. I think that it is an important investment in the youth of today. Life is fragile and so many people get so caught up in the “me” part of it that the forget about the “HIM” part of it. Reminding my kids every day that this world isnt just about us and that every single part of our day should include some Jesus in it. Reading to your kids before bed is a great way to incorporate this book and Jesus all at once. Big Dreams and Powerful Prayers includes 30 stories from both the Old and New Testaments to awe inspire our kids to dig deeper and rise higher for Jesus.

This is a very nice book. The images are vivid and well drawn. The writing is not too young but is also easy to read. You can either read this together as a family devotional type read or have your child read it alone. There are easy to read and understand prayers as well as words that should lead to more discussion. This would be a great addition to your library and a wonderful book for any church to have available for their Sunday school classes.
I love this book! My daughter (8 yrs. old) loves reading different Bibles and Bible stories, and has happily settled in to read a bit of this each night. The illustrations are gorgeous, and I love the way the stories are brought to life. Thanks for sending an ARC, Zonderkidz! |
