Book Description Review Praise for Tomorrow I’ll Be Kind“As an introduction to personality characteristics, beneficial behaviors, and social-emotional skills, this is a solid choice, and fans of the previous volume are likely to embrace this one as well. ‘I’ll dream of all the good that comes / when we all just do our best,’ the text explains–a sentiment that’s hard to rebut. Gently encourages empathy, compassion, and consideration.” — Kirkus Reviews”A welcome call to tenderness.” — PW Reviews Read more About the Author Jessica Hische grew up in Pennsylvania. This book reenforces the exact lessons I want her to know, along with the same beautiful drawings and art that accompanied Jessica Hisches first children’s book “tomorrow I’ll be brave.” I strongly recommend this book. My 3-year-old son LOVES her book Tomorrow I’ll be Brave, so when I saw she was writing a follow up I pre-ordered right away and I was not disappointed. Jessica Hische is an incredible artist, the illustrations in the book are charming, sweet and captivating. The message is just as uplifting as in brave and my son now insists we read them together. Each page features an uplifting quality, written in gorgeous artistic typefaces that embody the author’s style. I highly recommend this and Brave to anyone with young children, and they make a wonderful great baby shower gift! As a fan of the author’s art, I purchased Tomorrow I’ll be Brave when it came out a couple years ago, and it has been in the regular rotation of bedtime books. I think this book is even better than the first book. The artwork is just as beautiful and full of images that can prompt lots of further discussion with my child. The words on each page are simple but nuanced, and they all have a nice cadence. I’ve only read this through once, but I think my 5-year old and I will read it many more times and she may pick up some good life lessons while we are at it. The book has a great message. Unfortunately, the artistic font that was used for the “kind” words that cover two pages is very hard to read. The font is very beautiful, but it takes a few seconds to figure out what the word is which makes it impossible for an early reader to read. It was even hard for an adult reader. Beautiful book! Gorgeous words and illustrations with important life lessons throughout the book. A beautiful and powerfully written follow-up to her book Tomorrow I’ll Be Brave. A book that any age could learn from …. and be ready for the water works! Beautiful book. So beautiful and sweet. What a great introduction for the younger set not only to the concept of kindness but how to turn that concept into a reality. Kids need concrete demonstrations of how to act, and this book provides exactly that with adorable illustrations. |
