Nona is so honest and transparent in this book about her past dealing with physical, sexual, and emotional abuse from a young age. She tells about her journey toward success and overcoming her past in a way that invites the reader in, and I honestly couldn’t stop once I started reading. Even though I haven’t experienced what Nona went through, I still feel as though I can relate to her and her story, and her advice and empowerment is for everyone. No matter what pain or trauma you may have faced, Nona shows how success can be achieved, and it starts on the inside. Highly recommend this book!

This easy to read, hard to put down, book by Nona Jones was the best read in a very long time for me. Although the trauma experienced by Nona was different than my life experiences and past hurts, the applicable truths and principles she writes about through her teachings and the ultimate resolve in moving forward are fully in line with the Word of God. Sometimes we ‘know’ what to do but we don’t know ‘how to do it’. I found that this book was the perfect tool that bridged the gap between knowing and doing and as a result I have found victory in successfully overcoming my past and look forward to a brighter future because of it.
