Jodie I hope your happy with this and can sleep well at night. I don’t know about your life before Billy, but after I do. So many untruths and things that was said that shouldn’t been. My Mother Mary would be so upset with your words. Billy was loved and not bullied by Mary or Dany. You couldn’t even spell my father’s name right. One day you will have to answer.

I briefly met Jodie and husband at a school concert they held in my town not long ago. I found the music from Billy Ballenger to be inspiring (Rise Up!). So of course, when I heard Jodie would be releasing her book, I was curious to read it. I heard it was a story of her life, but I had no idea that I would relate to her in so many ways. I come from a broken past, too. Having so many bad habits and experiences engraved into me at such a young age, I never thought I would become who I am today. I’ve silenced my story for so long. Jodies courage to write this book has inspired me to start sharing my own story. Thank you, Jodie, for helping me find my voice.
This book was powerfully written. Having known Billy and Jodie after their lives had transformed to devout Christians, I had no idea what they had endured in their past. They are clearly evidence that there is hope for the lost and how sometimes i losing everything is God’s way of getting our attention! To be face-down and only having God to rely on is life-changing! I am proud of Jodie and Billy for devoting their lives to helping others who are lost. May God bless them!

This book is a true story of what a hopeless, lost life looks like and how it can absolutely be turned around and become a dream. Your past can be ugly, hopeless, and so difficult, yet there is a way out of it, there is hope beyond what you can imagine. If you know anyone struggling with an addictive lifestyle or just living with no hope of escaping their circumstances, get this book in their hands ASAP. They will be blessed.
