Book Description Customers Review: Couldn’t put it down. Great to get the back story about Queenie and meet up with the other characters. Vinny is still a prick! LOL. Not as gritty as the other books in the Mitchell/Butler series but a great read, all the same. And well done on the Irish family and a proper portrayal … not like some authors who make us out to be leprechauns! This is the prequel to the Butler series and wowzers what a prequel it is. This book tells the story of Queenie Wade as a child and growing up with her parents and younger sister Viv. We learn of her life during WW 2 right up to the early 1960’s. This book was absolutely fantastic. I honestly couldn’t put it down . Superb characters and a great storyline. A massive 5⭐️ read for me.
