Customers Review:

A heart-warming book about a loving woman raising a little girl who wishes she could live with her parents, but can’t, just now. The rich illustrations light up the text. Alice Faye Duncan and Charnelle Pinkney Barlow have created a book to be cherished.
Often, children think that in order to be family they must share the same household, parents, and such. Alice Faye gives us a look at relationships that have nothing to do with DNA but more with heart. Like a mama is perfect for everybody’s library.
Wonderful picture book about children and their forever families not related by blood. A young girl longs for her mother and father but finds love and gratuity for her caregiver whom she does life with. Beautiful illustrations, beautiful story.
A unique and positive picture book featuring a happy little girl being raised by “Mama Rose”, who isn’t her biological mother, but who loves her “Just like a Mama.” While the main character acknowledges her wish to be with her parents someday, the joy she feels under the care of Mama Rose is palpable. This book gives all the feels and would be a perfect addition to any child’s home library, whether it reflects the reader’s own circumstance or not.
