Customers Review: Spirit of full disclosure, my name is Todd Pitner and I am the author of this children’s book series, “The Adventures of Zammy the GIANT Sheepadoodle!” Zammy is an AMAZING real-life children’s therapy dog. His job is to SPREAD JOY! This series was inspired by the wonderful children Zammy has met over the past few years at the Shriners Hospital for Children. Each character (such as Tommy Two-Wheels and Ginger Giraffe) are named after REAL children from the hospital. While Zammy is “larger than life,” young readers will relate to him well as he takes them on fun, inspiring adventures! This first book of the series introduces us to his many friends and invites the young reader to become his friend too. In my opinion, the most important part of the book is when Zammy asks the young reader to, “Tell me all the reasons why YOU are special too!” I am the father of four beautiful daughters. I wrote this book imagining all the thousands of times I read to them. I imagined what would engage them…to want me to read the story to them over and over again.
