Customers Review: This really needed to be proofread more. I’m willing to overlook a couple of typos or awkwardly worded sentences, but this book had far too many. What’s worse is some of the typos were on dates. For example, on page 31, the book states that in 106 BC, Rome indirectly challenged Antiochus III, who died in 187 BC. I like the attempt to cover the high points in a succinct manner, but there is no good reason for this many errors in a published book.
An easy to read book, with large clear print, good quality paper. It gives a detailed but simple to follow account of the Romans. Tells all you need to know and compare to today’s world, times. This book reads like a novel, hard to stop. Good history lesson of old Europe.
I liked the fact it was an easy very interesting account covering an era of often political and social upheaval. The Romans left an indelible mark on the fortunes of man

Very informative book, it would have helped if there were maps included with each section.
I love history. I was looking for a compehensive Roman history. This book is good just lacks the complete history I was looking for. Good for those who want to know about Roman history.
