It explores the friendship between a boy and a girl and how that is disrupted by misinterpreted signals and pressure from friends to behave a certain way. Told from two alternating points of view, there is no “bad guy” here – just two people fumbling towards adolescence. The book also deals with parental expectations and how kids can begin to open conversations about forming their own identities as individuals. Highly recommended. |
