DescriptionHarness the power of the magical, mystical, glorious Moon with more than 100 spells, chants, and rituals, along with Esbat celebrations for the Full Moon. Moon Magic is the third book in the best-selling Magic series, following Witchraft and Love Magic. The Moon is one of our most prominent and ancient symbols. It has shaped how we understand and track time, its movement controls the tides, and its rise into the sky signals the coming of night. All of these roles have cemented our relationship with the Moon and its important place in our myths and culture. The distinct phases of the lunar cycle have associations with different states of being. These states mirror a kind of spiritual quest which, like our search for ourselves, never ends. When we observe the Moon, we see reflections of the grand pattern of life that is birth, death, and rebirth. With this invaluable handbook, follow the Moon as she traverses each sign of the zodiac and discover how each astrological phase affects magic—and how your personal Moon sign affects your magical work. The discussions include the influence of the seldom-discussed energies of the True-Blue Moon, the Black Moon, the Void of Course Moon, and the lunar eclipse. You will learn how to properly conduct spells using candles and gemstones at exactly the right lunar moment to enhance the flow of power. Each Moon phase is explored individually to cover the phase’s main themes along with moon rituals, intention setting, and practical ways to celebrate and manifest health, wealth, and confidence. You’ll also find herb and crystal lists as they relate to each moon phase and information on traditional lunar herbs, including lavender, jasmine, willow, moonwort, mug wort, pumpkin, and sandalwood.MY REVIEW:I have to start by saying thank you for this ARC as it is definitely a magical book. It is very well written and easy to follow whether you are a novice or an expert. The author takes you on a magical trip through crystals, herbs and spell casting. Learned a lot from this book and am so happy I read it. My only negative comment is that I wish it was readable through Kindle. Definitely going to buy the hard copy once it’s available!!I highly recommend this book!!! Buy it, you will not be disappointed.
I love collecting things that interest my family & not only those whom reside with me but those whom don’t as well. I store these finds with me at home so that when they visit, they will each have something special waiting for them to enjoy.I picked up the Moon Magic handbook for my precious aunt. She absolutely loves anything that has to do with the universe & it’s natural energies. Yes, she is that wacky Aunt that always bought those mini horoscope rolls at the checkout lane in grocery stores. After taking a peek myself and scrolling through Moon Magic, I just know she is going to love it as I enjoyed it myself too.First impressions, when opening the package, I was delighted to find that the book itself is beautiful. It has sort of a modern antique look to it. You know it’s new but they’ve managed to make it look dated, the gold linings & trims amongst the smokey black backdrop is just very aesthetically pleasing. The quality is great too, it’s a nice well made hardcover that you’d be proud to lay across your coffee table or display in a collection of treasures in your bookcase.Moon Magic has so much fascinating information in there with beautiful photos both in black & white and color as well.Moon Magic has a vast array of topics ranging from lunar cycles, mystical energies to different astrology crystals, what they mean and what they’re supposed to provide when you’re in the presence of them. There are chapters about spells & rituals, healing energy, changing bad, finding clarity, living joyfully, conquering change, heightening intuition, enhancing romance, healing energy, astrology and so much more. This book would make a great gift for someone who loves astrology or simply interested in the universes energies outside themselves. I think got the price point, it’s a great buy. I would recommend it.
First of all, the design of this book is incredibly beautiful – it looks like a book that would be on every Hogwart’s student’s shelf. iI looks like an old vintage volume from the metallic gold-gilded cover right down to the full-color illustrations (which are tastefully done), the fonts chosen, and even the “yellowing/vignetting” around every page edge. The content is just as good- it covers a ton of different topics related to lunar cycles and things having to do with the energy of the moon in all its phases. Because it covers so many topics (crystals, spells, phases, tarot, herbs, goddesses…) it’s not a deep dive into any of them, but it’s a COMPLETE book about working with some of the more mystical aspects of the moon and certainly a great starting place for learning different traditions and rituals and lore around the moon through history.I really love this book- it’s one of those books that I’m just happy to have and be able to read n refer to because it’s so lovely. I’m truly hoping there are other books in this series (or maybe more coming?) – I wouldn’t hesitate to add them to my own personal library.
