Book Description

About the Author A dynamic author, researcher, and advocate, Dr. Jeanette Davis has left her mark far beyond the field of science. Currently, Davis works as a Marine Microbiologist who serves as an Ocean Policy Advisor in a federal agency, conducting research and providing support on programs and policies regarding resources in the ocean. Dr. Davis earned her B.S. in Marine and Environmental Science from Hampton University and a Ph.D. in Marine Microbiology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Davis contributes to ocean science nationally and internationally. Her notable accomplishments have led her to be featured in several prominent magazines such as Ebony, Essence, and Black Enterprise as the “next great marine biologist.” She is a strong advocate of community and has mentored students from elementary to college, lectured at several colleges, and has awarded scholarships to African American students in her hometown of Wilmington, Delaware. Customers Review:

This is a great book that shows kids the diversity of science and the diversity of people that do it. It encourages kids to think and question with fun pictures and rhymes. My personal favorite rhyme is ‘don’t you forget it’ with ‘genetics’.I collect kids books about science and this is a very welcome addition with a unique slant. Most important, my 5 year old loves it and asks me to read it again and again!I highly recommend this for a child in your life and also for daycares, preschools, elementary schools, libraries, science centers/museums, nature centers, children’s museums, little free libraries and other places children gather to read and listen to stories.
A well structured book showing the diversity in people and specialization in science. My 7 year old read it to my 2 year old (with some help with the big words) and they both enjoyed it. It sparked conversation with the 7 year old about what else might fall into each subject covered. A great kid friendly way to show how science is, in fact, for everyone! Great work Dr. Davis!
Attention: teachers, parents, educators, and families. This book is awesome for your students or child. I highly recommend this book. The students and teachers at Tender Care Learning Academy absolutely loved the book! This book is a must have for young students. It introduces them to various forms of Science and gets the imagination stirred up. If you can dream it them you can become it! Thank you Dr. Davis, looking forward to many more books! —
This is a great book for young children to get them thinking about science. I believe it is important to inspire kids of all backgrounds to invest in their education.
This book is so great for children in all walks of life and an easy read.
What a great way to share science with children! Loving the way that children of diverse backgrounds and ethnicities can “see” themselves as scientists!
I highly recommend this book .This is an ideal book for children. It is written to explain all the different science by name .If you have a child who is interested in anything pertaining to air, land, or sea. There is a connection to science. Hence the title Science is everywhere.
This is a wonderful book for young children who want to explore the natural world. The text is well written and would engage an elementary school child. The art work is also first class. Buy a copy for your budding scientist or even your local library
