This book is one that can be read to younger age groups for an understanding of life not always going as planned or expected. At the upper elementary level, this picture book is one that allows students to dig deep into being shattered, moving forward with the tide, connecting with others, and finding a deeper meaning/purpose in life.The Sea Glass Treasure, allows students to think beyond the printed word.
What a beautiful book that makes you think and dream. Where do those incredible jewels we find on our beach adventures come from? We read this with our 7-year old and she immediately wanted to read it again. The illustrations make you feel like you’re in a water color painting. This book makes us want summer to be here now. I hope we see more from this writer in the future.
Such a colorful, fun book about sea glass and its wondrous adventures. I love the bold font on each page to capture the attention of the readers. The watercolor illustrations are beautiful & really compliment the story.I bought 4 copies for all of my grandchildren to enjoy and one for myself of course!
A delightful story of a greenish glass bubble and it’s journey to becoming a sea glass treasure. A catchy cadence and beautiful illustrations will engage children. The book will also inspire future sea glass hunts, and imagine stories of the sea glass.
I LOVE this book!! My 4 grandchildren loved it as well….My twin granddaughters, who are 6 yrs. old…have started collecting seaglass and rocks and this book was a perfect story to tell them…THANK YOU Shelly Peters for the great story!
As a teacher, I highly recommend this story for the classroom. The illustrations are beautiful and the author creates the journey that is a life lesson that pertains to all of us.
