Presenting the second in a seven-volume library of works by master illustrator Sergio Toppi. Customers Review:

Another gorgeous volume of Toppi in English. It’s been wonderful finally getting to read all these stories. The art and production on this volume is at the same exceptional standards as the first. Lion Forge deserves an award.
The book arrived on time and in good condition. The stories in the book are great and the illustrations are amazing. Most of the book is in black and white but one story is in color. I have found one of the stories presented in this book in black and white is in color in other publications but its fine. The line work in black and white is really great. there are stories both from the perspective of the European settlers as well as the Native Americans which provides a nice balance.
arrived as scheduled. thank you
The Collected Toppi Vol. 2 features eleven original stories that read like folklore. Hard men and tough women live hard, tough lives in an unforgiving land. Most seem to be set in isolated parts of Alaska or Canada. Stories populated by miners, trappers, native tribes, bushwackers, and greedy traders. Enigmatic evils, unexpected kindness, and mysticism abound.I had never heard of Sergio Toppi before reading this collection of his work. The cover and blurb appealed to me so I thought ‘Why not give it a try?’ I’m glad I did. The art is fantastic, most of the stories rich and nuanced. It’s grown-up stuff, full of heartbreak, simple triumphs, and harsh life lessons.***Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with a free digital copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.
I’ve failed to leave review under HC edition cause “it has not been released yet” so don’t be surprised by photos of physical book.If you have a copy of first volume you aready know what to expect from this one. Tick paper, over-sized format, beautiful design etc.Was surprised to find David Mack’s foreword here, as well as one story in full color.Great stories in well deserved format, hope to see few more in 2020
The 2nd book in a series of seven collecting the work of Italian artist Sergio Toppi. This collects his stories taking place in North America, most in the old west. The stories were great, often a little wry. I wasn’t familiar with Toppi before, but I look forward to checking out the rest of the volumes in this series.
